Lovers Lane golf-cart zone moves forward as VDOT reviews plan

Planning Director Dave Kretz told the Board the application and signage plan were submitted to the Virginia Department of Transportation, comments have been addressed, a revised plan has been submitted and VDOT is reviewing the submission; a public hearing could be scheduled as soon as next month pending approval. VDOT staff later confirmed they are committed to timely review and the Board emphasized considering temporary safety measures such as cautionary signage while formal reviews and studies proceed.
