The Fire District Number 1 governing body in Sedgwick County convened briefly on Aug. 7, 2024 and recorded that no members of the public had signed up for the public agenda. "Seeing no one has signed up for public agenda, next item," the chair said, and the meeting proceeded without public comment.
The chair also asked whether there was any budget discussion for the fire district; none was raised. "There is no executive session for the fire district, so I'll adjourn the fire district meeting and return us back to the Board of County Commission meeting," the chair announced, formally ending the fire-district portion of the proceedings. The session included the roll call confirmation that all five commissioners were present (Commissioner Meitzner, Commissioner Dennis, Commissioner Howe noted as online present, Commissioner Lopez, and Chairman Beatty).
