The Town of Montgomery Selectboard on Sept. 15 said it expects to finalize stamped drawings and bid documents for the municipal wastewater project by the end of September so the project can go to bid in October after WID and IDR reviews. Charlie Hancock reported the schedule and said the town will submit materials to WID and the IDR to enable issuance of a draft permit for public comment.
The board also received a detailed easement status update: 78 easements have been executed and received, 10 are pending, and 10 properties are expected to head to court action because landowners have either refused or become unresponsive. Hancock said he will arrange a presentation from legal counsel on required board actions prior to any filings. The discussion clarified timing and the remaining legal steps but did not produce a new vote or change in schedule.
