Montgomery Conservation Commission schedules Town Land walk, discusses long-term plan

Commissioners set tentative fall dates (proposed Oct. 14 or Oct. 24) for a Town Land site walk and said they will seek FCNRCD input on a long-term management plan; no contract was approved at the Oct. 1 meeting.
Members agreed to schedule a walk at Town Land in late October or early November to review management needs and meet with FCNRCD staff. Matt Paggi said he will contact Charlie (Charles Snedicor) and Dorothy at FCNRC to coordinate dates; the minutes record proposed dates of Oct. 14 or Oct. 24 for the visit.
The commission also noted it has not yet received a determination from FCNRCD on availability to help develop a long-term Town Land management plan. Commissioners said they will discuss options with Charlie and Dorothy during the site visit and will provide previous Town Land plans and knotweed-grant materials to Dorothy as part of the information transfer.
