The Hackberry Elementary School District #3 governing board on July 14, 2026, adopted its FY2027 budget on a 3-0 vote following a brief public hearing in which no members of the public spoke. Pam Adams moved to approve the budget and Charla Loomis seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Business Manager Samuel Dell told the board that month-end updates showed the district in a stronger cash position than the prior year. "The district will carry over $370,000," he said during his report, summarizing the June budget update. He also reported that earlier in May the ledger showed about $160,000 more in the bank than the previous year and that the district finished May with roughly $297,000 of budget capacity remaining.
Board members did not request additional amendments to the adopted budget at the meeting. The formal public hearing was opened and closed by motions (Pam Adams to open, Charla Loomis to second; Charla Loomis to close, Pam Adams to second), and each motion recorded a 3-0 vote. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for August 11, 2026.
