Committee advances Monarch Champion goals; plans 'Monarch Madness' camp week

The Elm Grove Beautification Committee described a series of education and outreach activities intended to fulfill elements of the Mayors' Monarch Pledge. Members said they taught all 300 seventh-graders at Pilgrim Park Middle School (PPMS) about monarchs, held Monarch activities at Tonawanda High Interest Day on April 25, and scheduled a library screening of 'The Extraordinary Caterpillar' (first showing May 8). Jennifer Morris agreed to produce a library window display with live caterpillars July 27–August 7.
The committee received approval to assist the Recreation Department in developing a 'Monarch Madness' week for Elm Grove summer camp from July 13–17. Amy will take the lead and will coordinate with the new head camp counselor, Nick, once he provides direction.
