County staff briefed the board on vacancies to the Solano County Assessment Appeals Board, explaining the body has five members (three regular, two alternate) and that candidates must meet qualifications under Revenue and Taxation Code section 1624 (five years of professional experience as a CPA, licensed real estate broker, attorney or appraiser).
Staff said two qualified applications were received and recommended the board create an ad hoc committee to interview the applicants, designate which candidate would be the regular member and which would be the alternate, and return a staff report on Sept. 24 with appointment recommendations.
