Bird City WI and local birders schedule events, report Birdathon donations

At its June 3 meeting the Elm Grove Beautification Committee reviewed upcoming Bird City WI activities and local birding outreach. Committee members announced a Songbird Stroll scheduled for June 10 at 9:00 a.m. starting from the library entrance, that the next Bird City WI meeting is July 20 at 9:00 a.m., and that 39 people have signed up for the 'Lights Out' program so far.
The committee also closed out participation in the Wisconsin NRF Birdathon on June 15 and reported $171 donated to date, noting that half of all Birdathon donations are returned to the local Birders of the Grove organization. Members said they are planning a November Birding Festival and have reserved the Schlitz Audubon Raptor program to attend.
