The Solano County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday recognized two long‑serving Health and Social Services employees with resolutions honoring their retirements. Lisa Cole Kleiser, an Accounting Clerk 3 with 31 years in fiscal disbursement work, and Janelle Bog, an office supervisor with 23 years of service, received plaques and remarks from supervisors and department leadership before the board voted to adopt the resolutions 5–0.
Jerry Hubert, director of Health and Social Services, framed both careers as sustained commitments to county residents, saying, “It’s not only a career, but you hear me say this all the time.” Both honorees were singled out for hands‑on work with vulnerable clients: speakers noted responsibilities ranging from issuing EBT and SSI cards to making housing and ancillary payments. Retiree Lisa Cole Kleiser told the board, “It’s been a pleasure and an honor to work for the county for this long. I’ve learned a lot and this job literally changed my life.” Janelle Bog thanked colleagues for the opportunity to serve and said the role allowed her to “provide for my family and retirement.”
The board recessed for photos and formal presentation of plaques. The motion to adopt each resolution was made, seconded and approved unanimously, with supervisors and staff emphasizing the retirees’ daily operational work and volunteer efforts for clients outside normal hours.
