The Selma Unified Bond Committee reviewed Measure O expenditures for multiple bond series and asked staff to confirm rollover rules and exhaustion deadlines.
At the meeting on Sept. 18, member Naripjeet Josan pressed district staff about balances in Measure O accounts, asking whether unused funds “roll over or do we lose the funding.” Committee members examined Series 2017A (fund 2104), Series 2019B (fund 2107), Series 2020C (fund 2108), Series 2020D (fund 2109) and Series 2020E (fund 2110) during the review.
District staff responded that the funds do roll over but that bond funds must be exhausted by a specific year; staff said they would verify statutory or contractual deadlines and return with detailed information at the next bond meeting. The committee did not take formal action on Measure O at this meeting.
The committee’s follow-up request means the district will supply timelines and any expiration years that could affect project scheduling; staff will present those details at the next meeting on Nov. 13, 2024.
