Assistant Superintendent Jessica Villareal told the Bond Committee that the district sold $13 million in Series B bonds at an interest rate of 4.54% and received an A+ credit rating; funding is expected to be received on Dec. 17, 2025.
Committee member Naripjeet Josan asked whether the District should have requested more funds to cover inflation. Villareal said bond proceeds must be spent within a three-year window, so the District is avoiding overcommitment. Committee members were also told the District has Deferred Maintenance and Capital Projects carryover funds that could supplement bond proceeds, and that state grant reimbursements and developer fees are included in the Master Facility Plan cost projections.
