During the meeting Commissioner Toman raised an issue with predator-management direction in the Jack Mauryl Hills area, saying the final record of decision appeared to leave the area without predator management. "It said there would be no predator management in the Jack Mauryl Hills final ROD," he said, adding elk calving areas could be affected.
Danielle and other staff noted the area is managed under an ACEC and that management direction may have changed; Danielle said she would double-check whether predator-management direction carried forward into the final plan. Staff agreed to verify the RMP language and ensure the county's protest documents the discrepancy if one exists.
