NICE school board approves $2.28 million in disbursements; audit presentation slated for November

On Oct. 21, 2024 the NICE Community School District Board of Education approved General Fund bills totaling $1,610,682.22 for the period Sept. 16 through Oct. 18, 2024 and payrolls of $672,477.22, resulting in total disbursements of $2,283,159.44 for the period recorded in the Treasurer's report.
The board also received the Treasurer's reports showing General Fund receipts of $629,833.34 and General Fund disbursements of $1,927,523.05, and noted balances in the Debt Retirement Fund ($250.00) and the Sinking Fund ($562,645.39) as of Sept. 30, 2024. Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine told the board that the district's final audit presentation is scheduled for the November meeting and reminded members that a special-education lift bus may be purchased in the next bus-purchasing cycle.
The motions to approve the bills, payroll and Treasurer's reports were made and recorded as carried in the meeting minutes. The financial approvals were handled under the consent agenda and are reflected in the district's official minutes.
