The Westfir City Council voted to adopt Resolution 580 on June 1, increasing residential water base service from $58 to $60 per month, raising commercial water from $60 to $70, and increasing the sewer base rate from $63 to $66. Nicole, the city recorder, told the council the changes were posted to the city website about a month earlier and that the policy text otherwise remains unchanged.
"The increase is from 58 to $60...and then from 63 to 66 for the sewer base rate," Nicole said while summarizing the resolution. Councilor (speaker 5) moved to adopt the resolution; the motion was seconded and carried on roll call with affirmative votes recorded by Councilor Healy, Councilor Cheatham and Councilor Love. The council recorded no public comments opposing the adjustment during the required public-comment period under the cited ORS provision. The action updates the municipal rate ordinance and leaves other fee elements unchanged.
