The city recorder said the scope would be limited initially to vehicles identified in the original notice because additional items were added to the property after the initial evidence was gathered. "The draft affidavit is just to remove 2 junk vehicles, which will cost the city about $420," the city recorder said, and noted a tow company is available to handle volatile situations with police present.
Council members expressed support for limited abatement to start the enforcement process, noting possible legal expense and the uncertain chance of recovering costs later; staff said the city may place a lien on the property and will continue working with the attorney to pursue the action.
