Board approves SIA funding package to support integrated guidance

Warrenton-Hammond School District No. 30 directors approved the Student Investment Act (SIA) grant as presented on Dec. 10, voting 7-0 on the measure. The SIA funds were described by Superintendent Trip Goodall as part of an integrated guidance plan focused on behavioral and academic supports for students who have been historically underserved.
Director Krystal Pike asked whether general budget cuts could reduce SIA funding; Goodall said the funds have already been allocated quarterly and are currently locked in. Business Manager Mike Moha added that SIA funding is flat from the prior biennium and should remain steady for the current biennium. The motion to approve the grant was recorded as TABBITHA MCGRORTY/KRYSTAL PIKE and carried unanimously.
