The Okmulgee Board of Education voted unanimously on Feb. 10 to approve its consent agenda, which included approval of the Jan. 13 regular meeting minutes and Jan. 29 special meeting minutes, monthly encumbrances and a list of school fundraising events. Mr. Leroy Parker moved to approve and Mr. Chase Nunn seconded; the motion carried with all five members voting aye.
The consent agenda listed specific fundraising activities: BPA's "Tattoo Your Teacher" and "Piggy Bank Race" (donations to the annual Sharks fundraiser), a Baseball and Softball Opening Day Bash, FFA Blue and Gold Sale, JOM Indian Taco Sale and a JOM Pow Wow cultural showcase, plus track-related fundraisers. The board’s unanimous approval clears staff and student groups to proceed with the listed activities under district policy.
