The Lowell City Council voted unanimously at its March 17 meeting to approve the consent agenda, which included December 2025 Q2 financial reports, the January 2026 check register, and minutes from Jan. 20 and Feb. 3, 2026 (the Feb. 3 minutes were corrected to show a 7:06 p.m. call to order). Mayor Maureen Weathers called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Councilors also approved a contract selection for the East First Street paving project, choosing Wake View Construction LLC for $16,037.20 and authorizing City Administrator Max Baker to sign the contract, with work contingent on suitable weather. Later in the meeting the Council voted unanimously to accept the City Administrator's evaluation summary for the personnel file after the evaluation (conducted in executive session at Baker's request) produced scores between 4.6 and 5.0 out of 5.0 across evaluated categories.
