Operations staff emphasized the importance of addressing the line before a large flow event; they said a full replacement farther into the river is a larger, more expensive option but that removing and replacing a few damaged sections could be done with a much smaller budget. Staff promised to return with bids or proposals and to coordinate scheduling to avoid permit non‑compliance.
