HR Director Gary McLean presented a corrected letter of engagement to retain an impartial hearing officer (Mr. Marcaris) to conduct an employment contested‑case hearing; the board approved the letter and authorized the chairman to sign. McLean also reviewed proposed amendments to the county's UMR health insurance contract intended to align mental‑health coverage with parity requirements and to correct omissions. The board authorized the UMR general exclusion amendment by unanimous vote.
