At the Nov. 14 meeting the Planning Agency reviewed a Zoning Hearing Board application from Mr. Eisenhuth for 1407 E. Philadelphia Ave. He said he proposes to tear down the existing house and construct a new home with a two-car garage and a master addition above the garage within the original footprint. Manager Andrew Duncan told the Agency the existing home is in disrepair and a safety concern.
The owner requested approximately a 1½-foot side-yard setback to rebuild within the existing nonconforming footprint. Allison Lee of Pennoni recommended a 4-foot minimum sidewalk. The Agency moved to recommend support for a proposed side-yard setback of 1.25 feet for the replacement house; the motion passed (Richardson-Aye, Rick-Aye, Heydt-Aye, Reitz-Aye, Carpenter-Aye, Stouch-Aye). The recommendation will accompany the applicant’s Zoning Hearing Board filing.
