Douglass Township Planning Agency backs setback relief, grant support and records member resignation

The Douglass Township Planning Agency met on Nov. 14, 2024, at 7:03 P.M. at 1320 E. Philadelphia Ave. Members Joe Richardson, Charles Rick, Mike Heydt, Ed Reitz (who led the Pledge), Sara Carpenter and Kim Stouch were present along with Solicitor Blake Dunbar, Naomi Crimm of MCPC, Allison Lee of Pennoni Engineering and Manager Andrew Duncan.
The Agency unanimously recommended approval of the Oct. 10, 2024 minutes. Manager Duncan announced that Planning Agency member Joan DiCicco had resigned effective immediately because she is moving out of the area; the Board of Supervisors will appoint a replacement at the January 6, 2025 reorganization meeting. The Agency recommended support for a special exception for 1407 E. Philadelphia Ave. to allow reduced side-yard setback (motion recorded as a recommendation for 1.25 feet), and recommended a letter of support for BMMA’s LSA grant application for $426,679 to purchase a camera truck for sewer-authority and municipal use.
The meeting included reviews of zoning hearing applications (Eisenhuth, Curry-Logan, Koback) and a Pennoni preliminary review of 115 W. Moyer Road. No public comments were offered. The Agency adjourned at 7:54 P.M.; the next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2024 at 7:00 P.M.
