Measured drawings completed for Paminter Barn ahead of planned demolition

Chairperson Christopher Brandt reported that measured drawings of the Paminter Barn (Hudson Avenue) have been completed as a pro-bono mitigation effort in partnership with outside organizations and will be added to the town historian's records.
"The measured drawings of the barn have been completed," Brandt told the commission, adding that printed copies will be provided to the historian's office. He said the demolition is proceeding as scheduled in September but that documentation will preserve the building's record. Commissioners asked about salvaging materials; Brandt said salvaging all materials was not planned at this time, though some parties had expressed interest in particular elements.
Separately, the commission heard an update that efforts to move a locally significant flats building were stymied by coordination and logistical problems with utilities and owners, making relocation unlikely and increasing the importance of recordation.
