Clerk announces Sept. 1 primary, polling place and early-voting schedule

The clerk from the clerk's office announced that Littleton's primary election will be held Tuesday, September 1, with polling open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Littleton Middle School, Charles Forbes K Gymnasium, 55 Russell Street. The clerk said in-person early voting will take place in the Multipurpose Room at 37 Shattuck Street on the following schedule: Saturday, Aug. 22, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; Monday, Aug. 24, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday, Aug. 25–27, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; and Friday, Aug. 28, 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
The clerk also covered absentee and mail-in options and deadlines, stating that the last day to request a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 5:00 p.m., and the last day to request an absentee ballot is Monday, Aug. 31 at noon. The clerk advised voters not to wait to request ballots because the clerk's office does not control the postal service and urged applicants to sign their forms and include a phone number so staff can follow up about missing or incomplete applications. "Help us to help you make your voting experience easy and rewarding," the clerk said. For questions, the clerk directed voters to contact the clerk's office and to check the state website for ballot status updates.
