"We're putting that in with a mixed use zone to incorporate a lot of different where you can incorporate a lot of different things that we can move in those areas," said the attendee who described the Vernal examples. The chair said the commission will coordinate with planning and zoning to consider adopting similar zoning options.
The discussion produced no formal action at the March 31 meeting; commissioners instructed staff to follow up with planning and zoning to explore whether similar mixed‑use zoning could be applied locally.
