The Daggett County Commission voted to approve engineering agreement modification No. 2 for the Manila Airport ILA project in the amount of $11,420.08. Chair (S1) seconded the motion after Committee member (S3) moved it, and the motion carried in open session.
Staff member (S2), who has led the project updates, said the county is close to finishing the instrument landing approach work but still must complete nighttime certification and verify runway lighting. "We're getting close to wrapping this up, really hopefully soon," S2 said, and noted a nighttime flight test is scheduled to confirm the lighting and finalize certification.
S2 told the commission the state is willing to roll over remaining grant funds to cover the final work and that the county's share will be 10 percent; he referenced "out of $11,000, you guys pay 10% of that." The modification documentation approved in open session lists the contract change amount as $11,420.08.
The motion to approve was made by Committee member (S3) and seconded by Chair (S1); commissioners recorded affirmative votes and the county clerk will process the signed amendment for execution.
