Manager Andrew Duncan told the board Nov. 18 that Douglass Township was awarded two LSA grants and has a pending 902 Recycling Grant award for equipment. The first LSA award covers a new paver at $278,558; the second LSA award covers a tandem-axle hooklift truck with a self-contained leaf-collection truck at $527,854. Both LSA awards were described as requiring no local match.
In addition, the township is pursuing a 902 Recycling Grant to purchase a trac‑hoe excavator; that grant would require a 10% local match. Mr. Duncan also reported that the township's ambulance Request for Proposals (RFP) is under review.
The board accepted the manager's report; no vote on accepting grants was recorded at the meeting beyond reporting the awards and authorizing standard follow-up steps.
