Manager Andrew Duncan summarized the commission's aims: "AMERICA250PA hopes to engage all Pennsylvanians and all 67 counties through their many signature and officially recognized programs, projects, and events over the next several years by inspiring future leaders and celebrating all Pennsylvanian's contributions to the nation over the last 250 years as well as recognizing EPIC to educate, preserve, innovate, and celebrate every Pennsylvanian in every county." The resolution expresses the township's support for participation in those efforts.
