Okmulgee board adds make-up dates for snow days, schedules extra Fridays in April

To account for missed days, the board approved make-up schedules: Primary and Dunbar students will attend Friday, April 3, 2026; High School will attend Fridays April 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2026; all sites will be out on Fridays in May.
At the March 10 meeting the Okmulgee Board approved corrections to the school calendar to add make-up dates for snow days. The board approved a motion (moved by Mr. Leroy Parker, seconded by Ms. Vickie Jones) that Primary and Dunbar students attend Friday, April 3, 2026 to make up snow days from January 2026.
High School students will make up days used in August 2025 and January 2026 by attending on Fridays April 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2026. The minutes state that all sites will be out on Fridays in May. The motion was recorded as passed unanimously.
