County secures additional federal and local funds for Washington Road preliminary engineering

Mister Titus told the committee the MPO identified rollover funding and staff requested an amendment to the current TIP that adds $1,000,000 in federal funding and $250,000 in county funds to the preliminary engineering phase of the Washington Road widening project. "It will be 1000000 dollars additional for the federal portion and $250,000 additional for the county portion of the preliminary engineering phase on this contract," Titus said, adding that the supplemental agreement would not change the project's timeline.
The board had previously approved the $2,538,900 preliminary engineering phase in April. Staff recommended approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with GDOT to incorporate the added funds into the contract documents.
