Planning commissioner to finish digital zoning map for council review

Planning commissioner Scott told the council he has nearly completed a digital zoning map but has pending decisions about small corner parcels on Main Street where parcel boundaries and zone lines don’t align. Scott said he will continue refining those edge cases and present the map to the planning commission for review before bringing a finalized draft to council.
Council members and staff said the current folded paper map is inadequate and asked that the final digital map be printed in large format and framed for council use. "There's some questionable areas around Main Street... there's some spots where there's corners that we need to decide which pieces of those properties looks like," Scott said. Staff offered to print and frame a large-format map once the commission finishes the edits.
