The Daggett County Commission nominated Matt Tibbets as the county’s candidate for the permanent community impact board seat representing the Uintah Basin Association of Governments (AOG).
Committee member (S3) made the nomination and a colleague seconded; the chair accepted the nomination to be forwarded to the UBAC executive committee and ultimately to the governor for appointment with state-senate confirmation. The nominee (present and accepting) said he would “do my best to represent the county and the basin.”
Commissioners discussed the desirability of a longer term (four years) for continuity and training on the AOG board. The nomination will be transmitted through the established UBAC and state processes for formal appointment and confirmation.
