Browns Park project coming in under budget; county may add work

Staff reported that the Browns Park project is actively under construction and has come in under budget, allowing the county to consider additional tasks within the current project budget. "The project did come under budget, so we're already been talking about them about doing some extra work over there within the project budget," staff member Brett Reynolds told commissioners.
Reynolds said the county had a productive pre-construction meeting and expects the work to complete quickly; the county is coordinating with the rural district and project leads to scope the extra work while ensuring contracts and materials (including asphalt) are available.
