Board authorizes deed signing, enters cost-share order with Oktibbeha County, and adopts recognition resolutions

At the June 15 meeting, the board authorized the Board President to sign a deed transferring the Agracel Building (motion by Supervisor Brooks, second by Supervisor Furnari; vote 4-0). The board also approved a Board Order for Lowndes County to enter a cooperative agreement with Oktibbeha County to share costs for specialized grinding operations, using Oktibbeha's mixing machine and operator; Supervisor Jeff Smith moved and Supervisor Brooks seconded the motion, which passed 4-0.
Additionally, the board adopted ceremonial resolutions: Board President Trip Hairston moved a resolution honoring Jimmy Parker as Rotary District Governor 2026–2027, and Supervisor Jeff Smith moved a resolution honoring the life of Mr. Roosevelt Bridges. Both resolutions were recorded and approved 4-0.
