Board approves placement of naloxone box; potential property purchase stalls

During unfinished business the board revisited a previously agreed placement for a Naloxone distribution box and approved a motion by Clerk Pam Laureto, supported by Trustee Bob Hawley, to install the box on Lake Street near the public restroom/garden facility; the motion carried unanimously.
Supervisor Tom Laureto informed the board that the Martins did not accept the township's buy/sell agreement for a potential property purchase. Trustee Bob Hawley read an email from the township realtor and recommended the board consider a ballot proposal to create a sinking fund to address future maintenance needs. A member of the public told the board it was "a blessing" that the Martins rejected the agreement and said creating a sinking fund would be a good use of money.
