Select Board concerned about drought but allows private fireworks request to proceed pending permit

The applicant provided proof of insurance and a coordinator, Sabrina Brown, said the company will confirm plans a month and a week before the event.
Fire Chief Billy Austin said the Fire Department is generally satisfied with the staging but raised concern about dry weather and said the display may need to be cancelled if conditions require it. The Board asked that, as a courtesy to neighbors, the display be completed by 10 p.m. and requested that Mr. Sherman submit the formal permit documents so the Board and staff can file and process them.
