The Alliance City Council approved its Consent Calendar on Dec. 16 on a motion by Councilman Yates, seconded by Councilman Turman. The Consent Calendar included payroll of $275,248.49, claims totaling $877,126.29, and the approval of several resolutions numbered 25-171 through 25-175.
Among the items, Resolution No. 25-175 authorizes submission of a Civic and Community Center Financing Fund Grant Application through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for Hal Murray Softball Complex ADA improvements, including a more accessible field and upgrades to lighting. Culture & Leisure Director Brown gave an overview of Resolution No. 25-175 before the council approved the consent items. The resolution directs that if the grant is awarded the Mayor is authorized to accept and execute documents associated with the award.
Other consent items approved included authorization to execute Maintenance Agreement No. 3 with the Nebraska Department of Transportation for calendar year 2026, a Certificate of Compliance for the year 2025, and authorization to purchase four Getac laptops and docking stations for $17,847.52. The motion carried unanimously on a roll-call vote.
