Planning Board approves Fred Drew lot merger and handles routine business

At its June 24 meeting the Tamworth Planning Board approved a lot merger application for Fred Drew covering Tax Map 215, Lots 123 and 124. Ann Pollard reported staff had verified deed and proof of no mortgage and Lianne Prentice moved to find the application complete; the board then approved the lot merger.
The board also approved minutes from the May 27 and June 10 meetings (motion by Lianne Prentice; Anna Paddock seconded). In committee reports, Treasurer Larry Nickerson said checks that had come in were processed, and Lianne Prentice reported on the Lakes Regional Planning Commission annual meeting and two local award winners, Willie Farnum and Maud Anderson. The Selectboard representative updated the board that transfer station work is ongoing and raised a dispute over the DOT pulling plans for a proposed 4‑way stop in Chocorua; the Selectboard plans to send a letter to the DOT commissioner.
