The Tamworth Planning Board conditionally approved a two‑lot subdivision application for Jameson and Michelle Killeen at 968 Washington Hill Road during its June 24 meeting, contingent on receipt of a Fire Chief approval letter within 30 days.
Bob Tafuto of Ammonoosuc Survey presented the plan, saying both lots have state‑approved septic systems and that the properties currently share one well; "a proposed location for a second well is shown," Tafuto said. The plan identifies bounds, flagged new lines, and notes a barn used as an accessory dwelling unit. The applicants and the board intend to record a shared driveway easement once the property is sold. Lianne Prentice made the motion to accept the application as complete; Nick Grant seconded and the board approved the conditional motion.
During public comment, resident Henry Oettinger asked that plans be made available to abutters and requested that the abutter notification letter explicitly say plans can be reviewed at the Town Office: "I would like a process by which the plans are made available to abutters," Oettinger said. Board members asked for confirmation the driveway arrangement would be permitted; Ian Haskell noted that a new driveway permit would be required if the shared driveway could not be used.
The board recorded that no state subdivision approval was required because both lots exceed five acres. The conditional approval requires the Fire Chief's letter to be emailed to the Planning Board within 30 days; failure to provide that letter would leave the approval incomplete.
