Osage City adopts 25% sewer rate increase in Ordinance No. 1711

City Manager Katie Hodge presented Ordinance No. 1711 to codify a 25% sewer rate increase approved at an earlier meeting to fund sewer project phases 1–5. Councilmember Susan Smith moved to adopt the ordinance, seconded by Mike Gilliland; the motion carried 7–0.
Council members said the ordinance is a formality to implement the previously discussed rate change. The ordinance amends section 36‑270 of Article IV, Chapter 36 of the Code of Ordinances relating to sewer rates. No amendments to the ordinance were proposed at this meeting.
