Council approves purchase of 10 BolaWrap 150 units and upfitting of three pursuit vehicles

The Alliance City Council approved the purchase of 10 BolaWrap 150 devices from Wrap Technologies for $18,023.88 and authorized upfitting three Dodge Durango pursuit-rated patrol vehicles at a cost of $67,899.00 as part of the consent calendar approved Dec. 2.
Councilman Hitchcock asked how many BolaWrap units the department currently had and whether there would be enough units for each officer. The record notes Police Chief Leavitt provided an overview and confirmed the department will have sufficient BolaWrap units to issue one to every officer. Both purchases were listed as Resolutions 25-164 and 25-165 on the consent calendar and were approved on a roll-call vote that was recorded as 4–0 in favor.
