Summer intern presents communications and public‑health outreach work

Rishanta Pollard, a summer ACE intern placed at Richfield through a Hopkins program, presented to the council on July 28 about her internship work.
Pollard said she supported executive communications, helped plan events, wrote newsletters, tabled at community events, recertified as an election judge and participated in public-health outreach with Bloomington. She described the ACE internship as an eight‑week program for people ages 16–24 and said it exposes participants to different local‑government career paths. "Absolutely," she responded when asked by the mayor whether she would recommend the program to other youth.
Council members and the mayor thanked Pollard for her presentation and for representing the city during community events.
