Kiara Ashley Tapa Talmalotto, introduced herself as Cabrillo High’s student-body president and told the board she was proud to return to report on student achievements. "Cabrillo is truly special…from engineering labs to community mentorship, every student finds a place," she said, describing new pathways including a Healthcare Education and Response training pathway and a drone-engineering team that recently won national placements.
Kiara credited campus staff and community partners—naming director Nueng and ASB director Mr. González—and described student-run outreach such as weekly mentoring at Garfield Elementary. She closed by saying she plans to attend California State University, Long Beach, in the fall to study biology and thanked the board for supporting student opportunities.
