Council grants sign variances for Kimmy’s Cucina and Loan Depot tenant at The NOTE
Summary
Following Planning Commission recommendations, Council allowed Kimmy’s Cucina to post three additional signs (not five) and approved Loan Depot’s request to relocate a ground-mounted sign at The NOTE; both motions passed with one abstention by Councilman Bacin.
Council approved two sign-related requests at its Sept. 15 meeting. Planning Commission recommended Kimmy’s Cucina be allowed three extra signs posted during business hours and removed at close; Councilman Todd Wise moved to allow the variance on yearly permit renewal and the motion passed with a 6–0 vote and one abstention (Keith Bacin).
Separately, Loan Depot, a new tenant at The NOTE, asked to move a ground-mount sign (described as "approximately five feet by four feet wide") to the Mill Street back entrance. Council approved that request with the same 6–0, 1 abstention vote. Attorney John Studenmund noted Planning Commission’s intent to bring more business to the Village when discussing the Loan Depot request.
