House extends tasting-room allowances in 'meadery' bill, adopts conference report

The gentleman from Tate explained that the bill extends an existing repealer and allows the native winery more tasting rooms in counties where the winery exists. "This is the Meadery bill," the sponsor said, adding a brief explanation of the process by which mead is made and the bill’s intent to allow additional tasting rooms.
Following the floor explanation the sponsor moved final adoption and the chamber approved the report by a recorded vote of 113 yeas and 2 nays. The sponsor then requested immediate release for the conference report.
