Public Works seeks bids for landfill piping and tarping materials
Summary
County Engineer Susan Eugenis said the county will call for bids to purchase about 10,000 linear feet of HDPE pipe for landfill staff use and a reinforced geomembrane tarp (SCRIM) for cover material; purchases are delivery-only and on the consent agenda.

Susan Eugenis detailed two consent-agenda procurement items for the solid-waste program: about 10,000 linear feet of high-density polyethylene pipe in four types (4"/6" solid and 4"/6" perforated) to stock for constructing staff-installed wells, and SCRIM reinforced polyethylene geomembrane tarping material used to cover landfill fill subject to sun and wear.
Eugenis emphasized these purchases are for materials to be delivered to the landfill for on-site use by county crews and do not include installation. She said the county reuses tarping where possible but replaces worn sections as needed.
