Treasurer Deborah reported a midyear snapshot of the county's general fund revenues and expenses, saying, “We've collected $11,900,000, almost 12,000,000 of our 22,100,000 budgeted,” and walked commissioners through other revenue lines including intergovernmental, goods and services, fines and penalties, and miscellaneous interest earnings.
Deborah also reviewed expense categories in the treasurer's operating fund, listing personnel, supplies and services totals and noting a current cash balance just under $1,000,000. She told the board the county posts interest earnings monthly through its investment pool and that the general fund benefits when special-revenue funds do not invest their balances.
