Council authorizes TAP grant application for Fox Road sidewalk

Council adopted Resolution No. 25-33 to authorize a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant application to install a north-side sidewalk on Fox Road from the water tower to Delaware. Mayor Jarvis said the application is due Dec. 1, 2025.
Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 25-33 on Nov. 17, authorizing the Village Administrator to prepare and submit an application for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding through ODOT for a sidewalk on the north side of Fox Road from the water tower to Delaware. The motion to adopt was made by Michael Benson and seconded by Wynn Kearns; Council waived the usual rules requiring a resolution come from a standing committee and a two-reading requirement.
Mayor Bob Jarvis reported that 'the monies will be used for a sidewalk project on Fox Road from the water tower to Delaware' and that the application deadline is Dec. 1, 2025. Council discussed property-owner responsibilities for installing sidewalks and noted that KEM has applied for a Safe Routes to School grant to assist the Village share.
