Stamford Select Board defers adopting local code of ethics after state office pauses operations

"If you go on the website, they say you're on your own," Pashica said, citing the state office's lack of personnel.
Board members and residents discussed whether the town should rely on the state's guidance or develop its own code. One speaker noted the final "code of ethics investigation enforcement ordinance" had not been completed for the board to sign. The board agreed to postpone action and return to the issue at a later meeting so the town can draft a local approach in place of state oversight.
