Douglass Township reelects Joshua Stouch as chairman; Sara Carpenter named vice-chair

The Douglass Township Board of Supervisors unanimously elected Joshua (Josh) Stouch as chairman and Sara Carpenter as vice-chair during its reorganization meeting on Jan. 6, 2025. Manager Andrew Duncan opened the meeting as Temporary Chairman to receive nominations.
Sara Carpenter nominated Joshua Stouch for chairman; the nomination was seconded by Don Bergstresser and recorded as passing with Bergstresser-Aye, Stouch-Aye and Carpenter-Aye. For vice-chair, Chairman Stouch nominated Sara Carpenter; that motion was seconded by Mr. Bergstresser and passed by the same 3-0 tally. According to the minutes, "A motion was made to approve the minutes of December 16th, 2024 Board of Supervisors meeting by Mr. Stouch, seconded by Mr. Bergstresser." Those motions likewise carried unanimously.
The reorganization votes concluded quickly and the meeting proceeded to appointment items. The Board set its next regular meeting for Jan. 21, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. and confirmed attendance and procedural items before moving to appointments.
